What Is the Free Tibet Campaign?
The Free Tibet Campaign stands for the Tibetans' right to determine their own future. It campaigns for an end to China's occupation of Tibet and for the Tibetans' fundamental human rights to be respected. Founded in 1987, Free Tibet Campaign generates active support by educating people about the situation in Tibet. It is independent of all governments and is funded by its members and supporters.
What Is the Tibet Society?
The Tibet Society is world's oldest Tibet support group having been working
to raise awareness for the plight of Tibet and find justice for its people,
since 1959. Our crucial work which includes lobbying the government and
other bodies on the issue of Tibet, fostering greater understanding between
parliamentarians from the UK and the Tibetan Government in Exile, supporting
Tibetans in the UK to make their voice heard and helping the Tibetan
Government in Exile in their democratic processes.

Many Local Groups work on behalf of Free Tibet and the Tibet Society in local communities across the UK. Local groups are a vital link to the grassroots support for Tibet; spreading awareness by participating in Campaign's co-ordinated actions, by staging talks and fund raising events. Groups can vary from a single person co-ordinating activities in their area, to a committee of people with regular meetings.
